Several lab-scale studies have shown that polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) occurring in soils can be aerobically biodegraded via chlorobenzoic acids (CBAs) through the concerted action of indigenous PCB-co-metabolising bacteria and CBA-mineralising bacteria1.
